We will hold the Symposium on “Approach for a Future Society led by Harmony between Human and AI”. We will present our interim report of this Project, “International and Interdisciplinary Research Center for the Next-generation Artificial Intelligence and Semiotics”.

 Since its establishment in 2008, Ritsumeikan Global Innovation Research Organization (R-GIRO) has focused on issues that need to be solved to create a sustainable society and has contributed to society through education and research.

 The Third-Phase R-GIRO Research Program for COE Formation was launched in July 2016, with a view to establishing a model of a human coexistence society that is sufficiently full of vitality and creativity to overcome the problems of an aging population with fewer children.

 In this Symposium, we will present our latest Research Results. We will hold about 50 poster sessions by Researchers and students from 5 Research Groups, and give a demonstration of Service Robot which won NEDO Chairman’s Award and SICE Award at the World Robot Challenge 2018 Service Category.

 We hope to see many of you.
