The employed researcher is expected to contribute to research topics about Symbol Emergence in Robotics.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, Symbol Emergence in Robotics, Cognitive Robotics, Speech recognition, Language acquisition, Soft computing, and Home Robotics

- [Expected skills, interests, and backgrounds]
- – Good mathematical background.
- – English communication skill for daily discussion and writing papers: IELTS 6 (TOEIC 740).
- – Programming skills in C++, Python, and related frameworks or libraries, e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and ROS, for machine learning and intelligent robot.
- – Applicants are expected to be interested in natural language, language acquisition, and machine learning . Having related academic backgrounds is preferable.
- – Willingness to contribute our RoboCup@Home and World Robot Summit teams (http://www.robocupathome.org/, http://worldrobotsummit.org/)

- Applicants must have a Ph.D. or doctoral degree in a related field.

- One year contract (Maximum of 5 years)

- JPY 330,000 yen/month (SS2 Class Based on the Regulations for Ritsumeikan Univ.)
- If applicants have sufficient publications and capability for achieving important contribution to this project, Payment will be JPY 380,000 yen/month (SS1 Class Based on the Regulations for Ritsumeikan Univ.)
- Commuting allowance, family allowance, and house allowance are not paid.
- Employment insurance of Promotion and mutual aid corporation for Private Schools of Japan are provided.
